The throwing volume in this program is designed for throwers with 3+ years of active throwing experience and a current estimated throwing distance of (MPO: 330-430 ft, FPO: 260-330 ft). Two warm-up routines are included in this training. The program is built on many years of practical coaching experience, following basic training principles based on scientific evidence. Additionally, the fundamentals of training, throwing mechanics, and skill acquisition have been taken into account in the program. If you haven’t thrown at least 3 times per week in the last 4 weeks, first increase the number of throwing sessions to 3-4 times per week over the next four weeks before starting the program. Increase the number of throws by 10-20% each week from the first week for four weeks.

Please note that this program is not individualized but general, with an effort to consider things on a broad level. The program provides you with a deeper understanding of throwing mechanics, skill development, and throwing training, which you can benefit from for a long time. The structured training consists of 4 sessions per week, including throwing technique and speed training. If you have any pain or injuries and are considering starting the program, consult a healthcare professional before beginning.

The throwing practice is designed to be done into a net. However, you can also do the practice if you don’t have a net and can only get to a field. In that case, the training session might take a bit longer if you need to spend time retrieving the discs.
